Hospitality House We are collecting items for families from out of town with members in the hospital here. The Hospitality House is a place for the families to stay. Items needed are “on-the-go” food (snack crackers, microwaveable foods, small canned items, etc.) cleaning products (home size), small hygiene items (what you might pick up at a motel, toothpaste/brushes, tissues). There is a box in the hallway to collect your donations.
Supper Club … A Supper Club consists of six people, meets once a month, and is made up of folks from Deer Park. Each club will meet three times – once each in October, November, and December. Each club will decide whether to have pot luck, eat out, or share the responsibility of being a host/hostess for the meal. Does this sound interesting to you? If so, look for the sign-up sheet where you can indicate your interest in participating.
Prayer List Update Card Look around the church for brightly colored cards that are labeled Prayer List Update Card. Please fill this card out whenever you want to add someone to the prayer list, update us on how the person is doing, or remove their name from the list. The cards may be turned in to the office.
Prayer Room The parlor is now set aside exclusively as a Prayer Room. It may be used any time the building is open. It is also open for prayer on Sunday mornings beginning at 8:45 am.
Small Groups at Deer Park Small groups meet on various days and evenings throughout the week. New groups are being formed now. Please consider joining one of these groups that will focus on God’s purposes for the church and for individuals through worship, fellowship, ministry, evangelism and discipleship. There is also still time to decide to host a group. If you have any questions, please contact the church office (451-7220) or David and Mary Marcia Winfrey (458-7990).
Extra Parking on Sunday Mornings Asiatique, a nearby restaurant, has offered to allow us to use their parking lot on Sunday mornings. The Asiatique parking lot is located in the alley behind the firehouse where the Volkswagon Doctor was located.
